Giuseppe Abbamonte

Director of the Media and Data Directorate at DG for Communications Networks, Content and Technology, European Commission. Giuseppe Abbamonte was appointed Director of the Media and Data Directorate in January 2014. The Directorate is, amongst many other things, responsible for the development and follow-up of the European regulatory framework on audiovisual media and the European Big Data Strategy. Before joining the Commission he was an associate in an international law firm in Milan for four years (1989/1992), where he dealt mainly with commercial law and competition law. Mr Abbamonte is the author of several publications mainly in English law magazines.

 

 Vassiliki Alevridou

Attorney at Law and COSMOTE TV Legal Affairs Section Manager Division, TV Legal Issues & Legal Institutional Framework of Fixed & Mobile Telephony. COSMOTE TV is the platform of OTE SA, the biggest telecom provider and the second biggest pay-tv service provider. COSMOTE TV also has a significant production of its own.

 

Georgios Anagnostaras

Georgios Anagnostaras is Legal Expert at the Hellenic Radiotelevision Council (NCRTV) and Teaching Associate at the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the Hellenic Open University (HOU). He graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master and a PhD degree from the University of Bristol. He has published many articles in the areas of EU Law and European Constitutional Law in the most eminent peer reviewed international legal journals and he is very regularly cited in academic legal literature. 

 

Celene Craig

Celene Craig is Deputy Chief Executive of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI), since its establishment in 2009, in addition to having worked with its predecessors the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) and the Independent Radio and Television Commission (IRTC).  Ms Craig has had responsibility for regulatory oversight of public funding for the Irish public service broadcasters, RTÉ and TG4, and has acted as an Authority nominee to the BAI’s statutory committees for Contract Awards and for Compliance.From 2015 to May 2019, Ms Craig was Chairperson of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) and is an active participant in European fora, such as ERGA, on audiovisual legislative and regulatory matters.

 

 

Michal Hradicky

Between 2008 - 2020 Michal Hradicky worked in the public sector in audiovisual policy responsible mainly for EU affairs at numerous public authorities: Ministry of Culture of Slovak Republic as an expert in the audiovisual policy, Permanent Representation of Slovak Republic to the EU in Brussels as an audiovisual attache, Slovak Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission and Slovak Audiovisual Fund as European affairs coordinator. Most of his career is associated with the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) from all of these perspectives. In June 2020 he joined the EMEA public policy team at Netflix in Amsterdam as an EU Media and AVMS Policy manager.

 

Johan Keetelaar

Johan Keetelaar joined Facebook as Director Public Policy in early 2018. In this role Johan oversees Facebook’s Connectivity and Access policy activities in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Until the end of 2017, Johan has fulfilled roles as Director of Competition and Regulation at the Authority for Consumers & Markets (ACM) in the Netherlands. He was also was a member of BEREC. Before the launch of ACM in 2013 Johan worked at the Netherlands Independent Post and Telecommunications Authority (OPTA) as Director Markets. Prior to that he worked in the telecommunications and aviation industries for almost ten years. Johan holds an MSc. in Econometrics from the University of Amsterdam.

 

Persa Lampropoulou

She received her education at the University of Athens (Law School) and he University of London, QMWC (M.Sc. in Public Policy. She is Legal Advisor to the National Council for Radio and Television and a Partner at Anagnostopoulos Law Firm. She is a member of the Athens Bar Association, the International Bar Association and the Commercial Lawyers Association.

 

Giacomo Lasorella

Giacomo Lasorella is, since oct. 2, 2020, president of Agcom, the Italian regulatory Authority for communications, to which he has been appointed following his designation by the Italian Government that has been confirmed by a vote of at least two thirds of the competent parliamentary commissions of the two Chambers (the Chamber of deputies and the Senate). In the Chamber of deputies, he obtained the unanimity of the votes. A lawyer and an expert in legislation and in parliamentary procedure, he has been deputy secretary general of the Chamber of deputies, and he has held for many years the responsibility to assist the President and the vice Presidents of the House in conducting the work of the Assembly. In his long career as parliamentary officer, office to which he was appointed after an official public contest, he was also secretary of the Communication parliamentary commission and responsible of the staff to the Parliamentary Committee on Radio and Television Services. He is a contract Professor of parliamentary law at the University of Tor Vergata - Rome and has written many articles on parliamentary law and constitutional law published in relevant academic journals.

 

Yiannis Mastrogeorgiou

Yannis Mastrogeorgiou is the Secretary General for Communication and Media in the Presidency of the Greek Government. He previously was Director General of the Konstantinos Karamanlis Institute of Democracy, the in-house, non-profit policy corporation of Nea Democratia party, and Director of DIKTIO – Network for Reform in Greece and Europe, a leading Athens-based think tank. Yannis has also served as Director of Communications of the Greek Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs, as Adviser in the Hellenic Parliament and as Special Adviser to the Minister of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping. He has also worked as communication adviser with multinational companies and was a Marshall Memorial Fellow in the GMF. Yannis has studied history, international relations, journalism and European Affairs. He is a currently a PhD candidate, researching the impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to Greek society. Yannis championed the discourse on AI in Greece, having published two books and several articles. His new book Artificial Intelligence and Humans: An endeavour to understand our age will be published this spring by Papadopoulos House.

 

Inga Moser von Filseck

Inga Moser von Filseck is Principal Media Policy EU at Amazon in Munich where she leads the company’s advocacy on audiovisual policy working closely with the EU Prime Video and Amazon Studios teams. Inga has over 10 years of experience in the audiovisual sector, working on AVMS-D related issues in the European Parliament and Vodafone Kabel Deutschland before joining Amazon. Inga holds a M.A. with distinction in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick (UK). In her free time, Inga enjoys hiking and skiing in the Alps with her husband and daughter. 

 

Augusto Preta

CEO, ITMedia Consulting; Chairman, IIC Italian Chapter. Augusto Preta is a consultant, economist and market analyst, with long-established experience in the field of content media and digital markets. As Founder and CEO at ITMedia Consulting, he has assisted and advised for almost 30 years, public institutions, authorities and major companies in media, telecommunications and the internet industries. Mr Preta is a member of the IIC Board of Directors and President of the Italian Chapter.

 

Francesco Sciacchitano

Francesco Sciacchitano is an Italian senior lawyer with a specialization in communications law and administrative law and a passion for international relations and cultural diversity.After finishing his studies in Italy he obtained a MBA degree cum laude in the United States, and worked at the Bear Stearns Finance Department of New York. In 2000 he joined AGCOM, the Italian communications regulatory authority, where he has worked in both the audio-visual and the telecommunications sector. 

 

Andrea Stazi

Andrea Stazi is Regulatory Affairs Lead for Italy and Academic Outreach Lead for Europe at Google and Director of the InnoLawLab - Laboratory of Innovation Law & Associate Professor of Comparative Law and New Technology Law at the European University of Rome. He is the author of numerous scientific publications and editorial coordinator of the law journal Diritto Mercato Tecnologia.
