The Fair Share Debate

The FTTH Conference of the FTTH Council Europe, the most important European fibre conference, started yesterday in Madrid. On the first of the three days, a comprehensive and top-class workshop programme was on the agenda. Representatives from companies, the European Commission and national authorities discussed key issues of fibre roll-out in the EU and beyond.

In the morning, the "fair share" debate focused on the question of who should finance future investments in fibre roll-out. Augusto Preta, CEO of ITMedia Consulting took part in the panel with a speech presentation entitled "The Fair Share Doctrine. Does it make sense?".
